Capucina patula (Velvety Bark Roach)

Recommended Posts

A beautiful species of Zetoborinae, very flat. Both nymphs and adults seem to exude a waxy secretion, which probably prevents dessication. They do seem to prefer drier conditions than some of the hobby lobby Zetoborinae as well, so this makes sense.

Stunning Roaches! definitely a must have in any collection. How do you find their husbandry to be like?

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks! 😁 So far they seem pretty easy, but having the proper, super flat and smooth bark is very important. They like it humid, but not very humid it seems.

Love the flat bark roaches

Yeah, one of my favorite groups of roaches for sure.
