Domino roaches-difference in 'brightness' of color genetic, or age related?

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody been lurking but just joined and 1st post

So title says it all-I've seen different video/pix and noticed some domino roaches are 'dullish/dirty' white and others bright white;

is this a 'freshly molted then get duller with age' scenario or is it genetics i.e.

inherent in the genetics beginning stock

because I am wanting to acquire some and want the best color possible of course.

  Thanks to anyone that can help with an informed response!

Age, but also dirty substrates can discolor the white.
