  1. That's nice to know, I was under the impression they were easy to breed.
  2. Sorry I'm not getting them @dactylus they are on my list, I may trade some from cape cod roaches. I know a few people have them in the US, they mostly want to keep them to themselves, and they don't want to let them fall in the wrong hands (like my hands lol) because they breed fast and if I get any I will sell as many as I can and bring there prices down to where they are not rare anymore, which some people don't want to see, but I can message my supplier to see if he can acquire some in Europe or something.
  3. That stinks to luse such a expensive book, hopefully you find it.
  4. I beleave most of these species are from Aisia, and we will get a whole new genus in the hobby, with 2 new species in the genus
  5. Try feeding less and put some clean up crews in and possibly lower the humidity or pick up dead roaches more often
  6. I will be getting 5 new roach species in to the US hobby in a month or less from the UK. They will all be adults, so establishing a culture hopefully will take less time but it will be some time before they are distributed in the hobby. I will also be getting 3 species of exotic roaches that are not to common in the hobby, one of which is the rhino roach which I already have for sale. i will let you guys drool over these 5 new species and 3 other rare species I will be getting I will update this thread tomorrow with scientific names and a description of each roach, i will post pics when I get these species in the US. please feel free to make assumptions of what species i may be importing, if you guess correctly I will give you a free starter culture of that species in particular (the genus and name must be correct, spelling doesn't matter this does not apply to the 3 species that are already in the hobby just the 5 new species.) I will just say that one of the species is absolutely stunning, once I get them I will be the second person in the world to have them! post away!
  7. There called peedlings, I'm not sure on the exact spelling though same goes for millipedes
  8. Welcome to the forum, I have Giant cave roaches for sale, they are close to what you want only bigger, I would also be interested in some vinagrooms specially bulk either by buying them or trading
  9. Will you be selling any of these? I'd also be interested in other roaches you may collect.
  10. The wasps paralyze the spiders the the spider is still alive when the grub is eating it that's so the spider doesn't rot, so spiders would have to be provided live
  11. I just get frustrated with him because I'd love to order some lubbers from him but I can't get ahold of him. I don't think tarantula wasps need large cages maybe if you breed them I found a site that sells them for $15 each but shipping is like $55 personly I feal insects can't feel pain (there are papers on it) and also the fact that if you feed roaches to a reptile some people have said they've seen the roaches cleaning them selves while they are being eaten, if they could feel pain I don't think they would be cleaning themselves, tarantulas could feel pain I don't know. But my reasoning is it happens in the wild so it's just part of life for these guys. I probably would put the tarantula in the fridge to slow it down before putting it in the cage with the wasp. Anyone want to donate any tarantulas? if I got a few tarantulas a could order a few wasps and try to breed them, I do have a 40 gallon siting empty. thats cool that long horns have been bred in captivity before, it would be nice to have them bred more to establish these in captivity.
  12. Roach crossing has really gone down hill I emailed him twice a month ago and haven't heard anything back and I don't expect to. I don't mean to be rude to him but his site is a absalute joke, there's lots of good info on there it's just super hard to order. on topic I would absalutly love to set up a 40 gallon tank with growlights and cacti and try to breed some cactus long horn beetles or try my hand at breeding pepsis wasps, the main challenge Is collecting the wasps or having someone collect them. And as far as I know only one person has tryed breeding them and they made it half way through, so it is a posability they could be bred.
  13. Very neat, I'd try to give a area where the toads can't get to the beetles, and I'd suggest making sure the fire bellies are always stuffed. That should help solve the problem
  14. I'll sleep on it, in the morning I should have a totally awesome name for the species, that will blow your minds
  15. Rhino monk roach or my favorite redmonts rhino roach
  16. Possible names, lesser glowspot (somewhat close to what you don't want lol) and rhino glowspot
  17. By the small horns they have and their size these look they are a poor mans rhino roach
  18. Awesome, is there a comon name for these? if not I would think it right that you would get to pick the common name for establishing these in the hobby
  19. He does nave some decent prices. But I've seen some high priced species go very cheep on hear. If he made his website like everyone else where you can just place a order he would have better business, I know it can cost more but I probably would of placed at least 8 orders from him sence I was in the hobby but instead I've given him no money at all because I can't even contact him. i was under the impression that these were Mega glow spot roaches is that correct or is there a new species in the hobby?
