Matt K
great critter! it is Gyna bisannulata? Looks like a male- the females are nicer I think......Same with other Gyna sp. too....
Zephyr
I hope my G. capucina look as cool as that! Nice roach.
Matt K
I hope my G. capucina look as cool as that! Nice roach. Personally I think the three Gyna sp. in the hobby are all pretty nice. G. capucina can sometimes be very pink, and its hard to not like a weird color on a roach- a pink roach.
BoogleBug
Wow, so gorgeous I love the wing shape of the gyna's!

BugmanPrice
so it is G.bisannulata? Yes, the picture is of Gyna bisannulata aka patchwork cockroach. I love their bright red legs...I really wish I could have gotten the ones I had from Orin to breed. Really neat species!
Kevin
What happened to them? Any idea why they wouldn't breed? Kevin
BugmanPrice
I’m not sure. They grew/matured just fine, all lived a long time, but I just couldn’t get them to breed before they died of what i presume was old age. I started out with only a few (3 or 4) maybe and I only remember one being a female. I’ll give them another shot someday…

Matt K
Oh...I think I just added a species on my "want" list! -Carey Kurtz- They are pretty neat-o, and more lavender /purplish in person than in a photo. The three available Gyna sp. are all neat really.
