Peter Clausen
I usually make the mistake of telling people these are roaches before I show them. They get critical and reluctant about holding them. I think next time I'll show them the bug and let them guess beetle and hold it before I tell them it is actually a cockroach. Actually, these are nicer to hold than beetles because they don't hold on quite as tight! Great photos!
RedDead
These are gorgeous I just love them, but I have a question. And point me in the opposite direction if its already been asked. Are the Domino roaches the same as the Therea Grandjeani shown here http://www.doubleds.org/files/grandgeni.jpg I've heard the Terea Grandjeani called dominos but I was unsure. Matt K
No, the 'domino' roaches are Therea petiveriana with clear white spots. The Therea grandjeani are sometimes referred to as the 'question mark' roach, as the white pattern typically represents a question mark shape instead of dots. Thank you very much, I wanted to make sure cause I'm looking for the question marks. And I've had people tell me that the others were the same. Again thanx
BugmanPrice
What they may have been referring to is the "question mark" 'roachs uncertain taxonomic placement...?
